I need help w/ the A8N SLI Deluxe

I bought the A8N SLI Deluxe and the Antec Sonata. People recommended this combo. The problem is the motherboard power connector is 24 pin on the board and the 380w powersupply that comes w/ it is only 20pin!.. WHAT DO I DO?

Do i need a different powersupply. People recommended the Sonata. Please let me know asap, as i just got all my parts and im trying to build it. THanks

All you should need is a 20pin-24pin converter. You can buy them on Newegg for a few bucks.

I have heard of people say it's ok to put the 20-pin connector into the 24-pin slot on the motherboard without the converter, but I can't say for myself as I don't have your motherboard.

anyone know if i can plug the 20pin into the 24pin spot? Ill try it for the night till i can order an adapter

I wouldn't try it unless someone comfirms it's OK. Someone should be able to clear that up soon enough, however.

Also, check to see if a converter came with your motherboard. For $250+, it damn well better come with one.

EDIT: Also, consult your manual to see if there's anything in there about the PSU. I'll go download the PDF version of it and check as well.

EDIT #2: Couldn't find anything in the manual regarding 20pin-24pin, ect. They just skimmed over the PSU related things in the connectors section
