I need help !! (solved)

Today I bought my 6800GT got it home and installed everything after formatting.
Installed forceware 56.72 drivers for XP and 56.66(I think) for win98
But my system refuses to recognize the monitor (sees it as default) and my gpu cannot be recognized too in both platforms.
In DXDIAG also nothing is known for "display"!!
I have to say that with my GT the CDdrivers from MSI were missing. I should take them tommorow.
So I installed the forceware. But that shouldn't be a problem right?
I have never installed brand drivers.
So plz help me what can be going wrong?
I have installed several times before but never I had a problem like this. Any ideas?

Download the latest 61.77 drivers from Nvidia. Also try to get all the windows updates first as you will probably need dx9.0b before those will install.

That shouldn't be a problem though right?
I have installed in order m/b chipsets dx9.0b and forceware.Why on both win98 and winxp my vga can't be recognized?

Try using the drivers off the card makers site.

The 56.xx drivers don't recognize the the 6800 series of video cards, I had the same problem with my BFG 6800 GT. Use the latest 61.xx drivers from nvidia.com and you'll be set.

Yeah I'm doin that right now. But I don't get it.
What more can this slightly changed drivers might have to do the difference?
That shouldn't be the issue. So everytime I need to upgrade drivers I should only use the MSI's?
That doesn't make sense. Never was an issue for me.
Do anybody think that the card might be damaged? I don't see any tech probs though

So any Nvidia 6x.xx drivers available for win98? I'm using both platforms you see.

Nevermind stupid question.
Anyway thankz for the help. I feel kinda for not knowing that only 6x.xx drivers were used by the 6xxx series. That's what happens when you're so much time away from Nvidia.
