I need help securing my Wireless

I plan on setting up a secure wireless home network , i want set it up so that when someone picks up my signal and wants to use my wireless they have to either use password to log in or have a specific MAC address , its my first time , so i dont know shite . please post recomendations..
 
The easiest way is to set the Wireless Access Point to only allow specific MAC Addresses to connect. When you login to the Wireless Access Point you can set this up, and you can also stop the SSID broadcasting so that people cannot automatically see your Network.

You can also add WEP Encryption so that people with an allowed MAC address and the SSID would need a key.
 
Everything sperrod explained will be done by most wireless routers, you don't need any seperate applications. Most of the routers will do some type of wep/wpa encryption and mac filtering.
 
Log into the Wireless Router/Access Point using it's IP address (normally 192.168.0.x) and it should be fairly simple to configure

Ipconfig /all at a command prompt. The MAC addy will be the physical address in the command prompt print. Or you can just look on the card. Many will have the MAC right there on the card itself.
BTW, it takes about a second for someone to find out what your MAC addy is. It's fine to use it but if that's your sole security measure your not locking down your WLAN very much.

I would believe most routers now a days have a DHCP client list of the IP that it assigned already. Heck even my 4 year old router has it and it allows you to copy it to the filter table.
