I have borrowed my bosses old laptop. When windows boots up I get the following messages:
Cannot find the file "info32.exe" (or one of its components)...
Could not load or run "info32.exe" specified int he win.ini file...
Cannot find the file "msinfo.exe" (or one of its components)...
Could not load or run "msinfo.exe" specified int he win.ini file...
Isn't there somewhere you can get windows to repair itself?

I don't know if these files are needed for what I plan on doing. I am going to take the laptop and my scanner to my grandparents for Thanksgiving and scan a bunch of old family photos. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

type "sfc" in the run box and see what that gets you
If sfc finds problems, it will probably prompt you to insert a Win 98SE CD in the CD drive. Do you have that?
