I need help quick.. I banged up the mirror...

Stupid me.. I was using my bike's position as a marker for the BMW spot.. as I was bringing it in, I managed to get teh mirror scraped a bit.

The car is red and you can see the damn damage.. a small paint scrape..

what is the easiest way to fix it for now.. I will fix it properly later.

If it's a small scratch, go to BMW dealer and get a small bottle of matching touchup paint.

Its teh passenger side mirror.. and the paststic cover is scratched up.. .. the mirror and all is fine.. its just a scratch.. but the problem is the car is red and the scratch is yellow/white (stucco in the background).

j/k - nice car! See if you can wipe of the stuff (gentlely) and go to the dealer and get the touch-up paint.

if the scratch is the color of what you ran into, it shuld come off. Use your finger-nail to scrape it, it should just come off, no big deal.

If it hasn't gone all the way through, get some polish and the other paint should buff right off.

I went to pacific bmw and got the touch up paint.. 28 bucks.. for 2 tiny bottles.. one the color the other is the clear laquer..

I put some of the paint on it, it matched very well.. but now thinking of it.. I should have sanded that area first and then applied it..cause there are one of two bumps. I did buff the area with a peice of cloth and other things but still there are two small bumps.

OH well I can do that always later.. its drying now.. i will put the laqure in later this evening..
