I need help picking the right CPU for my upgrade

I'm going to upgrade my computer pretty soon. I'm having trouble deciding what CPU to get. At first, I was 100% set on a retail 2500+ barton. I wasn't going to overclock it or anything. Since I've seen so many people overclocking this CPU and the mobile CPU's, I'm thinking of doing that myself too.

Now, how much noise the Heatsink/Fan put out is a very big issue to me, and this is why I'm hesitant about overclocking. I looked at a couple of these speeze fans and everyone says they are quiet. I would be willing to get this fan and use this when I overclock, but I don't know if it will cool well enough, AND I don't know which CPU I should choose.

I am deciding between the mobile barton Athlon 2400+ and regular barton Athlon 2500+. No matter which one I get I want to overclock it to 3200+ speeds.

So, that being said, what do I do? Would I be OK getting the mobile barton and overclocking it to a 3200+ with the Speeze fan? Or would OC the 2500+ with the speeze fan be a better option. If cooling either of these with the speeze is NOT feasable, the I'll have to get the retail 2500+ and not overclock. What do you guys think.

Yea, the mobile and that HS/F should be more than enough cooling it. Most of the heat comes from the voltage increase anyways and the mobile pretty much eliminates that problem with their lower voltages.
FYI, the stock fan is probably worse than the speeze.

thanks man.

anyone else have comments on this? i want to make sure I make the right decision.

Also, somone16, do you have personal experience with this?

I just got a 2600+ stable at 2.2Ghz with crappy PC2700 RAM- replacement for my just-died 3000+ (grumble).

42C idle, 52C load, with a dialed-down 1400rpm fan on top of a Speeze-knockoff 'sink.
