My old fuji 2650 finally shat the bed.. I need a new camera. Looking to spend $300-500 on a camera. Here are my requirements.

1. Good Optical Zoom.
2. Takes EXCELLENT Macro shots (I do a lot of web pics were I take closeups of electronics)
3. Fits in my wifes purse. (We were going to buy a rebel, but they are just too big)
4. Standard Mem card type. The fuji I had used the Xd memory which sucked ass.
5. Good at point and shoot. I am not a photographer, dont really care about all the special settings.

Anyone know of a good camera that fits in there?

thanks!

that 7 mp canon digital elph

good and zoom should never be used in a sentence, btw

a nikon coolpix of some kind, especially if you want macro, i have yet to see a conon P&S that will do macro as well as the coolpix cams, they are also small, however you prob arnt gonna get more then 3-4x soom out of them or anything thats pretty small

I'm currently debating between the Canon SD200 and the Canon SD300. Plan on ordering within the next 2.5 hours.

I like my Canon A75. Takes pretty good macros. I think the A510 is the new version of it and is even a bit smaller.
