One question I have is what sort of network does sprint have? I know I can't use the same unlocked phone on sprints network as I would with att&t. Could I use one from Verizon?

I'm looking for a few different things. I would like one with PDA functions (email, web browsing, to do, calender, etc.). I also want a MP3 quality, taking it to the gym and be able download music easily from my PC.

Does anyone have any good suggestions for a phone that sprint sells, or unlocked phone that will work on their network?

Thanks

mogul if you need a keyboard, touch if not. If you're willing to wait a month or two, you can get the next iterations when they come out.

I second the HTC Touch, which I have had since mid April. I have the Verizon version (aka XV6900), and I am very happy with it.

Windows Mobile 6, so it has Outlook (covers your email, calender, to do list), IE, and mobile version of Word, Excel, PPT. Windows Media player for music and easy syncing/download from your PC.

I was a bit apprehensive about the lack of a keyboard, but I have adapted well to the touch virtual keyboard. You have the option of using a stylus keyboard map, writing recognition, or an external bluetooth keyboard as well.

Small and light, so great for the gym. I use it for music while biking with a Motorola S9 bluetooth headset.

The only downside I have encountered, some IE add-ins are not up to date, so sites like YouTube have to be viewed with a separate external viewer (youtubeplay).

Lots of good choices...just depends on what your needs are. And for the record...Sprint will NOT activate a phone unless it's Sprint branded.
