I'm gonna be running a 1.2 Athlon on a Shuttle AK31 with Nvidia GeForce2 MX400 Video Card, TV Card, Mylex SCSI RAID adapter with 2 10,000 RPM SCSI Seagate Cheetahs, 2 Maxtor IDE 7200 RPM HDD, DVD-Rom, CDRW. I wanted to know what amount of power I should be looking at. I was thinking around 400 watts? less? more? advantages? disadvantages?
Also, is it REALLY worth all the extra money for an aluminum case or can I get away with a regular materials case and just install several fans, in which case, how many fans? maybe you have a suggestion for hdd coolers, especially for the SCSI's which are double height?
i'm still very new at the computer building game and I'd appreciate all help, including suggestions for sites, brand names, and stores to visit with low prices. thank you.

I built my latest machine with ALL parts purchased from one retailer: NewEgg. Newegg is very popular on these forums and has EXCELLENT customer service, as well as fast shipping and low prices. They are, however, in California so this tends to discourage most of the California people on these boards.

Go with Enermax 981xp Full tower case. This case is the tallest case I've seen so far.
It has 1 120mm intake, 1 120mm out, 2 80mm out
It is build with aluminum front panel and tinted door

From my experience the idea that aluminum cases run cooler is a myth. Air flow is what is critical and I would look very seriously at the Antec SX1000 series for your setup (or even the SX1200 if you want really big).
