I have a Dell Dimension Xps T700r computer.. It has 384 sdram geforce 32 meg.. the processor is 1.65 volts.. and the motherboard im not exactly sure the dell guy told me it was an MBA? it has 5 pci slots 1 agp though.. soundblaster live... the bus is 100mhz i believe... anyway i have read many threads about overclocking p3's to 1 gig with ease... I have never overclocked a system.. i hear you can change multipliers and or voltage or something in bios
but my bios does not have that information in it... I tried to download the update for my flashbios by phoniex but wouldn't let me update it because i have memory managers loaded?? dont ask.. anyway could somone go through a step by step instruction set.. on how to overclock my system to 1 gig or a speed that is safe.. like i said earlier my chip is a p3 700 with 1.65 volts. thank you

seeing that it's a Dell system, I very much doubt that you can overclock with the present board! I may be wrong but if you can ascertain the make & type of m/board that's present, then my advice may differ!

The only way you can Overclock a Dell/Intel motherboard is with H. Oda program called Soft Frontside Bus

And you might not be able to over clock it with that. I ended up having to get a new motherboard, power source, and power switches.

My friend has a Dell comp with a P3-600 Slot 1, and he wants to overclock. But I know you can't overclock those boards. But I did hear something about a program you can use to overclock like NOS440 said. Where can I get that?
