I have a duron 700 on a KT7-RAID MoBO and used a pencil to try and unlock the multiplers by joining the L1 things. When i tried to overclock the processor nothing happened.

Can ne1 tell what is the bect pencil to use and if there are ne wed sites that could also help me.

I used a 0.5mm machnical pencil. and i have a FOP38 fan on the duron

the pencil trick is inherently unstable an unreliable. just keep at it. check out this thread for some more tips on overclocking. it also has a link to the best tutorial i've seen on using the defogger repair kit to bridge the l1 gaps.

A better way is to use a rear window defroster repair kit and a plastic toothpick or similar object to connect the 5 bridges only on L1. Make sure there are no overlapping connections between bridges. If you make a mistake use some solvent to remove it. Make sure you have the "speed hold" disabled in the Softmenu setup.KT7 FAQ HERE
