1. Read it
2. Read it again
3. Read it again
4. Read it again
5. GOTO 1
6. ...
7. PROFIT

No need to memorize it. Make a tape of you reciting the monologue. When it comes time to present, lip sync. and do your actions.

Type it all out,
Type it out again taking away a few lines
Continue this until you are left with a blank page
Get a new stack of paper
Start writting it out first page
Write second page out, fill in blans on second page
Continue until you get to the blank page and cant write it out on both.

Seems daunting at first, but this is what I did to get my 94 average in high school...man..so many trees I killed doing this.

I used to memorize pi for fun. All I did was take a small increments (for you they can be just sentences) and memorize them one at the time.

The key is to start over every time.

If you're going to memorize this sentence....do it like this:

If
If you're
If you're going
If you're going to
If you're going to memorize
etc etc etc

Just keep repeating it to yourself starting over each time.

I once memorized the first 1,000 digits to pi in about a month. I memorized at a pace of 2 in sets of 10. Over and over and over, starting over each time.

It's really incredibly easy once you get going. Sounds hard, but it's not.

Do it in segments as well.

e.g. lines 1-4, 5-8, 9-12, etc.

Once you have segments memorized, try to put em together. That way if you screw up tomorrow, you can always start from either the beginning of that segment or the next segment.
