Basically I know what the differences are between the cpus, and the only reason I'm worried about getting the prescott is the heat thing everyone keeps talking about. I would be replacing the 2.4C in my main system under my rigs page in my sig. Is that cooling enough? (Vantec Aeroflow) Also how much heat does it really kick out at 3.5 ghz... and what kind of voltage do you usually need? (i heard it's relatively easy to hit 3.5)
If the 2.8C is more likely to hit 3.5ghz area, I'll buy it instead, especially if you guys tell me this thing really does run too hot
The ram I have doesn't like to do much in the way of fsb overclocking at low timings or even high timings so i want to hit the 250mhz fsb to use the 5:4 divider and have full 400mhz speed ram.
Anything you guys can suggest would be greatly appreciated, TIA
