I need help choosing a backup solution...

So I just built a new machine. It's a desktop Hackintosh with three internal drives: one dedicated to Windows 8, one dedicated to Mac OS X, and one dedicated to backups. I virtualize the Windows installation with VMWare Fusion under OS X. About half of the time computing will be spent in OS X (OS X as host OS, virtualizing Windows 8), while the other half will be in native Windows (Windows 8 as host OS).

What I need is a backup solution that will work in both the virtual and native Windows environments. I'd like to keep historical versions of files, as well as a way to recover from a total failure (system image, I guess?). I don't mind spending some money on a good solution, so long as it's seamless. The key here is seamless; I don't really want to do much of anything manually once the solution is set up.

What do you all recommend?
