Up until recently I've been using Asus PC Probe (came with motherboard), but it's been having issues working properly. It's been occasionally crashing and .dll error messages when starting up. I must have reinstalled it a few times with no success. It will work fine for a few days, but after a few restarts it will screw up again.

So, what's some good software to monitor temperature?

HWMonitor is good for system temps and coretemp is good for cpu only, you can even get a gadget for it.

OpenHardwareMonitor is an open source program like HWMonitor and works well in my experience.

I bought a license for Aida64 and have used it for the last few years. Well worth the $$.

I'm a big fan of HWInfo64. It monitors every sensor you can think of, and it has a highly configurable desktop gadget that displays whatever info you want. Mine shows memory use, core voltage, core clock, CPU usage, core temps, and fan speeds. And it's free!

Agree with jkauff. HWInfo64 makes GPU-Z, Task Manager and HWMonitor redundant.

Thanks for all your suggestions!

I will definitely try out a few of these and see which I prefer. Normally I would just google search, but when it comes to health of my computer I like direct feedback from the community.

I like the HWMonitor and other applications. I have found it to be one of the best temperature programs out there.

Hey IntelEnthusiast, I have a quick question.

Do I need to set a offset for my temps.. like -15 because if I dont do that my idle temps become like 50 in a cold cold room, but to me it shows 35c cuz I put a -offset did same thing with P5k when I had it........ Are my temps what hwmonitor or speedfan or aida shows ,, is that really my real temp...... cuz that means Im near 50c idle its hard to believe so I put a -15 on each core..... thx in advance...
