My boss wants me to start wearing some nice khaki pants to go with my new job. I used to get to wear jeans and whatever shoes I wanted, or shorts and sandals in summer.

My question is, what shoes look good with like Dockers or similar pants? For shirts I will wear regular polo type shirts or casual button down cotton shirt.

I think athletic shoes look awful
Most dress shoes seem to shiny, never casual enough
I noticed some guys wearing lugged shoes like Sketchers with them, better but still not it.

What shoes do you wear with khaki pants?

I guess this means I need to get black socks as well?

I wanna go back to jeans and shorts :(

Rockport Prowalkers in black. Worn them for years. Very comfortable, feel like sneakers but look businesslike.

Rockport?s are nice. Not the cheapest shoes out there (nor most expensive), but they last and are very comfortable.

I like Sketchers because they're casual. If you wanna go for a dressier look, then go with Banana Republic shoes. My friend just bought one but it cost hime like 130 bucks. Sketchers are usually half of that.

I got a black half-length boot... you can wear them with nearly everything and wear them almost anywhere.
I personal own GBXs but they're kinda hard to find and might be too "hip" for your taste...
Lugz has something more plain here

Most mens magazines also recommend classic style sneakers like K-swiss or Adidas if you wanna remain somewhat casual. Loafers for semi-casual... When I worked in the City... if you didn't dress well, you were the weird one! :)

Instead of khakis, mebbe you can swing some cordouroys... khakis feel like sandpaper compared to some nice cords.

I just bought a pair of Mezlan's. A bit pricey at $185, but well worth it in looks, style and quality. Not the most comfortable for those who spend long hours on their feet.
