I am trying to setup an Email account, but my login name has an @ symbol in it (ex. something@whatever.com). So when it tries to check the mail, it tries to connect to 'something@whatever.com@incoming_mail_server.com'
that is obviously invalid. Does anyone know how to fix this Eudora problem.

BTW, this is an IMAP account, and this username and server I use works fine using the Webmail client

thanks!

That's weird...it should still work even if you have an @ in your username because it's connecting to your mail server and then supplying your username, not actually connecting to username@whatever.com@incoming.mail.com. Double-check your IMAP server settings in Eudora. What happens if you leave off the @whatever.com part for your username?

Who's your e-mail provider? Do they perchance have an e-mail client configuration help page? Also, check under Eudora settings somewhere and make sure Secure Sockets are off (I think it's under Incoming Mail).
