Firstly, this is the harddrive I want to get. My question is, what is included? Is there a power or SATA cable included? And is there some sort of adapter included to change SATA power to a molex connector?

IIRC its just the hard drive for OEM...

If you wanted a sata power converter it'd be separate... Since most new current psus have SATA cables preinstalled.

Your motherboard should come with some SATA cables...

Well I just checked into the case as there is an SATA power cable on there (Seasonic S-12 430) and the mobo did indeed come with an SATA cable, but this was 2 years ago and I've been using IDE devices for ages, I have no idea where that thing is

OEM drives are bare drives and the warranty can vary depending on where you get the drive from. Be sure to verify the warranty before breaking any seals or opening any packaging. If you buy the retail package, you MAY get the data and power adapter but verify if you need them. They are $2.00 each or less, so no big woop.

I have this drive. All you will get is the hard drive itself and nothing else. That is what OEM means. I had SATA cables lying around and my power supply has a connector so I did not have to worry about buying any adapters. This particular drive has a 5 year warranty. My warranty is good until 2011.

Edit: Don't forget to use the code buybarracuda to get an additional 5 dollars off.

Thats why I wanted to jump on this deal. I guess I'll have to figure out where to get an SATA cable. Newegg's prices are rediculous and yet the nearest place that would have them we wouldn't be able to get to for at least a month...... darn >_<
