I need Doom 3 to be playable on a cheap card

I have a friend who bought a PC off me. Anyway will Doom 3 run ok on 800x600 low/medium detail on a FX5200 128mb? Or maybe a Radeon 9200?

Whats a video card thats comparable to a Geforce 4 Ti4200? I would go with a GF4 Ti4200 but the mobo has issues with some of them(A7M266).

My friend runs it just fine on his Radeon 9200. But get a 128 bit 5200, that will run it better. The Ti 4200 really is the best option, but like you said, if you can't, get the 128 bit 5200.

Wow... $73 for a 5500 FX? That's a load of ****. Don't get the FX period.

I say get a used 9500/9600 for $70. DON'T WASTE $70 ON A FX 5500.
