I need cat toys - with Cat pics

i do Swagbucks & save up Amazon gift cards for extras. My 16 pound rescue cat enjoys toys a lot more than 10 year old Resident Evil does. I got him a nice laser pointer, organic catnip, various cloth mouses that he has shredded ( it's like living with a puma also got him a circle with a ball that loops around it & a scratch pad in the middle.

I am thinking of adding a fishing pole & sturdy balls with bells inside, what other toys would you recommend that are fun but durable?

The most durable (and most used) toy I had for my oversized Arabian (he weighed almost 20 pounds of NOT fat at his peak) was when my daughter took a small bag of catnip and rolled it up inside several layers of duct tape as a joke/experiment. The cat loved batting that thing around, chewing on it, clawing it, and anything else he could to do get a whiff of that 'glorious' stuff hidden inside. He would frequently sink his teeth into it and then trot around the house happily carrying a ball of tape stuck to the front of his face. It lasted almost six months before it got too nasty and I took it away from him and had my daughter make him a new one. She only put one layer of tape on the new one so he could actually get inside a little bit and he liked that one even better although it didn't last as long.

Just make sure the edges of the tape are cut cleanly. We did have a few problems with frayed threads from the tape getting stuck in his teeth/claws when he happened to tear at a loose end of the tape after he had been digging at it for a while, but cutting the end off cleanly resolved that problem.

They bht like the rabbit fur toy mouses.

Those remind me, my cat loves the little pieces of plastic that are left over when you take off a bottle cap and tie wraps but I worry he will choke on them.

Da Bird is the best interactive toy I've ever used with cats. I've not seen a cat who doesn't enjoy it.

The stuffed catnip toys by Yeowww! were also a big hit, though you have to be ok with your cat just sitting there and licking them until they are gross once in a while.

Some cats really like crinkly toys, but we would just wad up a piece of paper for that.

My cats did play with the bell-in-a-ball thinghies but it wasn't a durable one, too soft.

If you have lots of hard floor areas, ping pong balls work great too because they're so bouncy and make decent sound.

Fishing poles always work but they get shredded fast.

If you have lots of hard floor areas, ping pong balls work great too because they're so bouncy and make decent sound.

I have hard wood floors, watching the big guy do hockey stops & skid across the room is so funny. Will try ping pong balls

His name is Grayson & he has lived indoors since I had him neutered in November. He misses going outside so I need to keep him busy, Vet thinks he's two yrs old, still a lot of kitten left in him

I was going to suggest the circle-ball-with-scratch-middle thing but I see you have that covered. My cat loves his.

The other things I'd suggest are the fishing pole type toys with the plastic handle and object connected by some sort of string. I have one that has a mouse on the end connected by an elastic string (just bought at Meijer/Walmart) and another with just a plastic handle and strip of fabric; he likes both about equally and both have held up just about perfectly so far, surprisingly.

Oh and he loves bubbles! Just regular old blowing bubbles you'd find in the kids' aisle. They make the catnip ones for cats but they're expensive and unnecessary (I bought those at first but you get way more for less if you buy normal kids play bubbles).

I made a series of puzzle boxes for the cats. I tape up a cardboard box and cut a bunch of holes in it with a holesaw. Then I put all the cat toys inside. The cats have fun pulling the toys out. Eventually either a cat pukes on the box or rips it apart and I make another one.
