Does someone know a good site w/ some tips on how to get better at BF2, or can provide any information in this post?

Also, how do you increase your rank? I log in, then play in various servers for an hour or 2, and when i go back to my BFHQ screen my progress bar is at 0 still. I just have to play in a ranked server, right?

I'm a noob at this game so any tips will help. Thanks.

1. Bunny hop
2. Use the assaults grenade launcher
3. Whore a tank/apc/chopper the whole game
4. Be commander and artillery anywhere and everything
5. Jump out of moving vehicles
6. Page down whenever you see something about forgiving.

Do all that and you'll fit right in!

Yeah, pretty much what Unk said, heh.

Also, if you aren't good at close combat, then be a support role... medic, support, or engineer. You can gain lots of points being a good support person the entire round... especially on hectic city maps.

Remember your stats page might take a while to update as well.

Also check bf2s.com... and remember usually that page has a small update lag time as well (look closely about 3/4 down the page and usually it will tell you it will update in about a minute or two from the moment you first loaded your stats).

Great guide on ways to suck. Luckily, I don't even think a noob would take that seriously.

Yes ironman, stick to ranked servers if you want to rank up. I could write up a ton of tips, but the best tip is to find a good squad and listen to the leader. A good squad can teach you the ropes much faster than any site. The key to BF2 is being flexible, knowing that your character can't approach every scenario the same way. Knowing when to pull out of an area because a tank is coming in or when to rush in because you may have the tactical advantage.

switch to single fire or burst. Full auto is pointless unless your click once and even then u might let off more than you need. With my carbine i pick off noobz close combat like nothing.
