I need AT&T coverage for one month. Straight Talk no longer an option?

I'm going to be going to some pretty out of the way places and I need the coverage of AT&T. The obvious option would be to pay for an official AT&T plan.

Official:

450 Minutes ($40) + 3GB ($30) + $35 activation = $105 just for one month, after which I'll be back on T-Mobile.

Normally I would check out Straight Talk but it appears that Straight Talk no longer uses AT&T's network? Or sells AT&T sims?

net10... It is the same service as ST and owned by the same company just a different name.
Sims are $1 on eBay and other places. I think you could probably still find the SIMs at local cellphone dealers and BestBuy, etc. They have a hard cap of 1.5GB I think now.

Awesome. Thanks! Looks like my local grocery store sells Net10? I guess I'll go there and pick up something. I can just get any Net10 SIM card, right?

Depending on the type of phone you have... you might have to cut it or get an adapter depending on which SIM you buy (regular vs microSIM).

Also the SIMs only work with their $50/mo unlimited talk, text and 1.5 GB of data plan.

Technically the SIMs are no longer sold by net10 directly, but many local dealers and online have lots of SIMs left over and can be activated.

Some of them might only sell refills and not SIMs, so check it out. Otherwise buy 1 from eBay for $1.
Best buy has them for sure (type your zip for availability)

I have a Nexus, so just your standard SIM.

I can't order it from eBay because I'll be on the road consistently. I have to buy it from a store. Looks like a local Walmart is a dealer. I hope it has the actual SIM card. I'm going to assume that the local Safeway/Kroger only has the refills though.

The $50 a month unlimited talk, text, and 1.5G data is on AT&T's network, right? I'll be in Yosemite for a week or so, plus going to Monument Valley, Joshua Tree, etc. I know that at least for Yosemite only AT&T gets coverage there.

Read the package, but I believe there are sims for att and t-mobile inside, you pick which one you want to use.
