I need assisstance for AutoCAD!

I have about 12-14 projects to do of drawing 2D views of the front, top, and side views, then modeling it to 3D. Here is an example of one that I just finished
It takes me around 45minutes to 1 hr to finish one, depending on the comlexity.
Anyone know any shortcuts to doing these instead of just drawing lines, circles, and more lines?

Oh yeah, and if you plan on taking CAD.. DON'T! It's the most boring crap I've ever taken. Just draw lines and circles all day.. I took this class looking forward to making some super realistic 3D models. Big disappointment :'(

i took autocad, it was a waste of time, now ProE, that class I def. enjoyed. gonna take solidworks next. it should be fun.
