No! The quality varies from very good to down right crappy.
Boards to avoid have ALI or SIS chipsets. And anything with on-board video.
Via boards are generally very good, but manufacturers have varying quality.
Epox G-M, G2 and G5 boards are among the best made.
Make sure the cpu you use is supported by the board and revision of the board. Most take only 128mg ram modules at most in each slot, total 384 mgs. And make sure there is 1mg of L2 cache. All can only do AGP 2x. Some do ATA66, but add-in cards can add support for faster drives.
Over all these boards are fine for everyday tasks.
