Yeah, I'd like some info too. I have a hiking trip which is half biking this summer, so I'm looking into getting a new bike.

lol, thanks...I'm really looking for someone who can compare them component-wise and give me a really informed decision, although this is probably asking too much :eek:

Are those the only bikes you're looking at?

My suggestion is not to dwell on component levels unless we're talking about LX grade on a MTB or 105 on a road bike, or above.. How do I kindly put it, components under these levels are cr@p; in the sense they are heavy and wont hold up much in durability (depends). I'd just get on the bike and feel which is best for you. Or if you need quantified data, put them all up on a scale and pick the one that's lightest.
