i need aegis wireless utility for win 2000

i go to baker and they use peap for thier wireless connections. I have tried peap and it installs correctly on my system, but for some reason i cant get to any wireless connection properties. My card is installed ok and works fine on open unencrypted networks, but with peap i cannot config it enough.

in the 2000 connection properties there is no wireless tab, i can set everything on the authentiucation tab, but there is no wireless tab, and thus i cant put in my required ssid and stuff on that tab... can i import the xp zero config? is there any way to make 2000 more wireless friendly?

I have been trying to get the aegis wireless config utility, but i cannot find anywhere to download the most current version.... i think i could probably use that and it would work if nothing else. either way i REALLY want the aegis client to try and avoid any further OS hassle. Any bright ideas would be most apperciated.

eh...what came with the card?

I would find what chipset that card is, and then look for a utility....the big vendors are broadcom, Atheros, Intel, Ralink, and Orinco (think I'm missing one here...)

well, i think its an atheros because when i install the utility it adds atheros something into the actual services within windows. I got the card off newegg and the brand name is airnet. on thier website the card is awn108 pcmcia type.

its are pretty crappy utility though

It will probably work anyway, it seems to go by chipset (AR5xxxx) and not the actual card. I used it on my laptop with an Atheros chipset and it worked fine. I am now using an Atheros client utility that comes with driver version 4.2.2.27 on my laptop and it also works fine. The package installs both the driver and the client utility. You can get it here.
