I NEED ADVICE ON 17" LCD

Finally I go down to 2 LCD in my place. NEC LCD 1700V and Samsung 760V? They are about the same price, which one is better????

You haven't considered the Hitachi CML174B? It's the new one with the 16ms pixel response (12ms rise + 4ms fall). I don't know what the prices of the two you mention are, but the Hitachi is $690, which seems pretty good, particularly for such a fast monitor.

In addition to the Hitachi, don't forget to check out the new PX171M by Planar. Boasts the same pixel response times (12 up/4 down). Monitorsdirect.com has it in stock for a touch under $600.

I have the samsung 171v and am very impressed with it. Much better than the viewsonic VE700s that others at my work have. I paid $550 and it has a $50 rebate.

I too have the Samsung 171v. Wife got it for me for $399 @ Best Buy. They had a good deal on them around xmas. Nice.
