If undergraduate school didn't teach you any of the stuff above, what makes you think graduate school will? University education teaches you theory and how to think, not how to use Visual Basic or Photoshop. If you did well in school, then learning the basics about anything in that list of yours will be a cakewalk compared to some of the courses.

You have web development and tools mixed in with java mixed in with a whole bunch of tech companies and standards. If you feel overwhelmed by all of the requirements for a systems engineer, then don't start out as a systems engineer! Start out with a job that is less demanding. While it's good to learn and read about every available technology out there, focus more on your core skills.

This is the wrong forum for this post.

Regardless, your list is absurd. No job posting EVER required that list.

Pick 15 of those things and some whiny boss might want those, but most GOOD jobs in IT are somewhat specialized.

That said, if you've never done any programming and you've never done any networking and you've never done any system configuration.... why should anyone hire you?

You learned chemistry, math and physics? You seriously never did anything else? What did you get a degree in? Chemistry?

Go look for ENTRY LEVEL system administration jobs. There, you will reset passwords and install software and you will study on the side to get experience so that you have a time that you have experience when you start looking for another job.

Unos ejemplos: "Network Systems Administration," "IT Network Administration," "Computer Networks and Security" "Computer Networking."
