I need a wireless card

Looking to do wireless networking so I need a wireless card to go with my Verizon dsl. What should I look for in a wireless card? What are the greatest and must have features to look for and what I can forgo?

To keep things simple, it doesn't matter what card you get as long as it matches the same wireless signal our router uses (A, B, G, Mimo, etc) and is from a reputable brand. Don't need to match brands or anything so look for a good sale and pick something up.

My modem does WEP only but I want WPA2. Is there a solution without replacing the modem?

?

The modem delivers the signal; the router determines the protocol. What router do you have?

If the Wireless source (Access Point) does not do WPA (and can not be upgrade with firmware). Then the only solution is to buy Wireless source that can do WPA.

My Verizon dsl modem has a built-in router. It's one unit.

I just got a brilliant idea that no one has ever thought of: can I connect a router(wpa- capable) to the modem via ethernet and set the router as a wireless port for my PCs?
