I'm looking for a webhosting company to host my website. The site is still under developement, but I need a company to host my site. Anyone know a company that has a budget plan and good service? I need the plan to meet or exceed these standards:
web host needs to support:
cold fusion
databases
cgi scripts (maybe but not required at this time)
javascript (maybe but not required at this time)
java (in case i have a chatroom)
webspace needed: probably only a few megabytes, but in case I expand, I need to have up to maybe 20 or 30, maybe up to 100 megabytes. As of now, the web page is only about 10-12 pages, and a total of about 2-3 megabytes, including pictures. It will probably grow to about 10 megabytes by the time it is completed.
ftp access: this is a must.
bandwidth: I really do not want my page to load slow, and I don't want my bandwidth to be oversold. It will be a fast loading page anyway, I'm not going to hog the bandwidth of the hosting company, or hog my customers' bandwidth either.
transfers: I'm not sure how busy my site will be...unlimited would be nice. But say to start...each person visiting downloads about 1-2 megs, and say I get avg. 50 hits a day, that's 1.5 gigs, so at least 1 gig in transfers, maybe up to 2-3 gigs would be nice.
I'm not looking to spend more than $10 or $15 a month...the cheaper, the better
. Tech support is not all that important, but it would be nice as well.
This will be a host for a www.mydomain.com site, not a www.mydomain.someoneelsesname.com
