I need a topic for a "How-to" Presentation in Public Speaking Class

Chaotic42

It needs to be something that I can show in 6-8 minutes, it can't be cooking, and I must have display materials.

I thought about "How to build a computer", but my computer is huge and has way too many components in it. I need to have the topic for tomorrow. I don't know how to do a whole lot of these craft-type things.

I was thinking of doing "How to build a power plant" or something similar and just using large diagrams.

Any ideas?

I did "how to install a hard drive" for the same project in the same type of class a couple years ago. I felt like a total nerd doing it, but I got a decent grade.

How to invest your money.

Talk about mutual funds, CDs, etc. 6-8 minutes is easy with a topic like that...you could talk for hours if you wanted.

How to PROPERLY apply hand cuffs. That one works for me every time.

Oh yeah, that would be in a criminal situation, not a sexual one by the way...😀

Double locked and tension checked? 😉

How to burn a CD. Take like a 100 MB file, set it to burn at like 8x. Wait...Enjoy. Bring in microwave. Place CD in, run microwave for ~2 seconds. Enjoy shock and amazement.
You can skip part to entirely and set the burning to 2x.

What you're really trying to prove with that, us up to you.

Hmm... That one's not so bad.

It might be a little simple for a college class unless I go into lots of detail, but that will be my backup.

Quick three minutes in each, and boom, you've given them a valuable lesson.
