I need a straight up answer to this question about free ISP's

Just recently got area wide calling, and can call anywhere in the whole eastern half of Kentucky. I currently use MSN, but now that I can 'locally' call any free ISP (most have a server in Lexington), I'm thinking of switching.

The question is, straight up, which one is best, why, and can you provide me a link? Thanks guys.

NetZero and 1stup are the first two that come to mind. There are also a few search engines that offer free internet such as AltaVista. You may also want to check out Funcow, but they're not too great.

1stup may not be around much longer (check out this article), they are the provider for Altavista and Excite, I think your best bet is NetZero.

Thanks for the link geoff2k, that was interesting reading considering i'm using the Altavista Free Access. Can't get DSL as of yet and Cable in my area has been problematic.
