I need a solution for using 14 SATA Hard drives using a 10 SATA MB. that

I have 14 SATA internal hard drives and an Asrock motherboard that has 10 SATA ports. My initial idea is to build another computer, I have enough spare parts laying, and connect them through my router.

Is there another storage solution using just one computer?

If you have a free PCI-E slot, the easy way is to just add a 4 port SATA card. They are pretty cheap and work as well as the onboard stuff.

Or you can spend a little more than get an LSI SAS/SATA SAS2008/2308 based card like the Dell PERC H200, LSI 9210/9211, or IBM M1015 all of which provide 8 ports of SAS/SATA 6Gb/s.
