i need a small pop3 checker to check my emails periodically

hi,

i got two plug-ins for trillian Pro...but the problem is these plug-ins only show for a few seconds that email arrived at my pop3 account and then the pop-up window disappears again !

I need a pop3 checker (either as a trillian pro plug-in or as standalone program) which checks my mails every so and so minutes which keeps an icon in the tray or similiar so i always know a message arrived without me missing it !

Btw. i think the way the trillian plug-ins do it is very stupid....example would be i go for a p*** while a mail arrives...so how do i ever know i got new mail when the notification disappears after 10 seconds ????

I use PopTray. You can set it up to check multiple accounts. You can set a different color for each account and the tray icon will cycle through each account color showing how many new emails there are. The icon will keep cycling and showing the number of emails until you double click on it to check your mail.

I use SysMetrix. Though it doesn't put something in the tray, it shows when I have email on any of a number off POP accounts. Or all of them. I also use it's other functions so it's not just a single-tool item for me.
