Just recieved my two 17" Dell 1703fp's this afternoon and i LOVE THEM! Only gripe is my Ati 9700 only has one DVI and one VGA and the difference between the two is fairly noticible.

Colors look a litte different and definately brighter on the DVI side. Also, the DVI seems to show a true black while the VGA seems to be "glowing" black (hard to describe)

Anyway, should i just pick up a cheap PCI card w/DVI? They can be had for around $45-50 at newegg at the moment.

Or should i sell my 9700 and buy a dual-DVI AGP card?

If so, on either front, which cards do you reccomend?

Yes.

You could, but they're quite expensive, and there aren't any with comparable gaming performance (although there may be some 6800-series cards with dual DVI).

If you get an add-on card, just about anything should work, as long as it has a DVI output. I've heard that sometimes ATI's drivers don't like having two separate ATI cards in the same system, so you might be better off with some sort of NVIDIA or Matrox card.

You're not going to like how much a PCI graphics card slows the entire system down. There are plenty of moderately expensive dual-DVI graphics cards around. Didn't we use to have a sticky post for exactly this?
