I hate it when people post "what should I buy posts" but here I am doing the same thing. I have been researching routers to replace my crappy NetgearWGR614. The new MIMo technology is not standardized yet. I have read lots of bad stuff about every router under $100 or so.

I looked at the dlink 604, 624, 624M
Linksys BEFSX41
Belkin PreN (yeah I know it's wireless)

I want a fast router with good through put. I will be playing xbox which I read doesn't like the Linksys BEFSX41. I was going to use my netgear as a WAP.

What's a good solid router and should I bother getting a firewall router. I have software for that.
 
I'd say D-Link would be the best out of the box. However, I love my WRT54G with hacked firmware. It has a crap load of features and its fun to play around in.
 
which Dlink would you recommend? I just need a 4 port minimum and fast through put.

This hacked bios who makes it and where would I get it. I don't need wireless so I am just looking for a fast wired router with a firewall if I have a choice. Thanks for the responses.
