I am running Win2K and the latest updates for DirectCD. I keep getting lockups and failures to finish formatting the disk. I have a HP 8200i and I have been really happy with it. I didn't have any problems until I upped to Win2K. Does anyone know of a program that does the same thing as DirectCD that will work with Win2K?:|:disgust::confused::(:Q

The Windows 2000 operating system became available after the release of the CD-Writers listed in the table below. Updated drivers, firmware and software may be required to successfully use your CD-Writer Plus in Windows 2000.

The software that originally came with the CD-Writers listed below is not compatible with Windows 2000. (If your drive is not listed below, your software is compatible with Windows 2000). The HP CD-Writer group has worked out an agreement with Adaptec to provide Windows 2000 compatible software for a reduced price. The reduced price is only available to people who own an HP CD-Writer drive purchased separately from their computer. If you have a CD-Writer that came pre-installed in an HP computer, review documentation and/or contact the appropriate computer support group for information on their Windows 2000 solution.

etc, etc..

good luck :)

I use NTI CD-Maker 2000 Professional, and it's an awesome program. The GUI looks kinda simple minded, (great for newbies) but it works flawlesly! Try it, you'll see what I mean :)
