While there is an appropriate amount of media coverage regarding the importance of identity protection, there is a real dearth of information about available paper shredders.

My experience has been that they overpromise and under-deliver.

Can anyone suggest a reasonably priced (< $150.00) cross-cut shredder that they've found to be jam-free and otherwise reliable?

Go to Costco or Sam's Club and get their highest sheet capacity one, that'll do the trick.

I got a 10 sheet with a CD destroyer built in and a Credit card shredder slot also.

Works very well but it will jam if you over do it just like any shredder.

They have higher sheet capacity shredders there however that should worked for what you're looking for.

We've burnt out all of the shredders we've bought... no matter what the stated capacity is.

We now burn everything... not as neat and clean, but effective. :)
