Someone had a post for some USB speakers (link) except I have onboard sound on my ASUS nforce1 motherboards so I'd like to plug into that.
Ideally, I can find speakers that aren't very loud and don't require a power supply.

for less than $10 i don't think you'll find anything more than travel speakers of 2-3 watts, which wouldn't require a power supply...i know sony makes some but they're probably a bit more expensive...

Just buy some brand name speakers for $10 if you can find them. I think at $10, whatever you buy is going to have very poor sound quality. I would recommend using headphones over $10 speakers. Try eBay; you may be able to find some used speakers with no reserve or at some crazy low price and increase the level of quality over just buying the first $10 pair of speakers you can find at Circuit City.

Or, OfficeMax often has "Cyber Acoustic" mini-speakers (about 3" x 3" x 4") for free, after MIR.
