"I need a reason for abortion being legal"
No, I think you mean to say, not being illegal. Why on earth should it be illegal? My experience and intuition tell me that it's an imposition of morals, a regressive, repressive agenda often if not usually part of something even more insidious, an attempt to control the populace for selfish reasons.

Fucking libtard professor lied to me!

Actually it doesnt change my opinion. You wont stop abortions, just make them illegal and dangerous.

Ditto guns.
And marijuana.

Life begins at birth. When you are legally able to drive, vote, purchase alcohol you are able to do so at 16, 18, and 21 years from your date of BIRTH, not your date of conception approximately 9 months earlier.

Abortion is a terrible to do or have to do, but you realize applying restrictions on a female's reproductive rights would eventually lead to situations where the Mother may not be able to get a needed abortion to save her life. It would also (and already has in some cases) lead to mother's who have had miscarriages being investigated and charged with murder because they had beer before they even knew they were pregnant. You're basically opening a can of worms that would result in the invasion of privacy and destruction of civil rights for all Women.

The state has no problem invading the privacy of men to make them pay child support to women.

Of course your whole argument is silly. ~99/100 abortion are not medically necessary. So you are arguing we should allow 99 terrible things to happen to possibly prevent 1 bad thing from happening.

Like?

And to prevent women for being unjustly charged with murder for having miscarriages. And even if the abortion is not medically necessary it is still a woman's right to choose. Enforcing laws against abortion would require an invasion of privacy on women violating the 4th amendment.
And allowing 99 fetuses to perish is better than allowing one live human being to perish because the former are not human beings.

Like providing private financial information. Or Paternity testing. But I guess forcing men to undergo medical procedures is ok.

No it wouldn't. There is this thing called a warrant.

And allowing 99 fetuses to perish is better than allowing one live human being to perish because the former are not human beings.

Abortion is a terrible to do or have to do

So why is abortion terrible? Your words not mine.

I'm very pro-abortion, but someone pointed out that almost every problem related to unwanted babies can be solved by putting babies up for adoption.

Too bad adoption only seems to work for white babies and not even completely in that case. Ever looked at the adoption percentages of non-white children? It's pathetic at best. But I guess we just want more and more children being wards of the state and being raised by publicly funded institutions.

Guess that works well, eh?

So are you comparing the adoption percentage of white babies to black babies

or

of white babies to older black children (after their irresponsible parents have had years to mess them up)?

Why abortion should be legal is very complicated and hard to untangle. People like to have sex but may not want to have children. Unfortunately sex is how children get made. We evolved from animals that were too stupid to have sex as a matter of duty so nature found a way to compel it happening. So folk who do not want to have children like nature wants them to but still want to have sex practice abortion so they can have sex but not kids if other means not to have them fail or no such means were used. We are as stupidly compelled to have sex as any other animal, but smart enough to have found a way our of nature's trap.

Of course there are many people with perhaps better brains who do not like the idea that are killing their kid, so they are very very careful about having sex. The result, in a few million years would be that nobody alive could control themselves and we would be having sex day and night, because all the folk who could control themselves and not have children every time they have sex would be out gened by those without self control, so abortion prevents the birth of too many people carrying genes for compulsivity.

In short, if abortion were illegal there would soon be no people of faith in religion. Churches would only be for orgies and nursery school. On Sunday morning folk wouldn't be praying but fucking their brains out.

For the religious abortion should be seen as good riddance.

A blood test is a bit different than a transvaginal ultrasound.

A warrant that can easily obtained to violate someone's privacy.

Women are already being investigated for murder for having miscarriages, so to think abortion being illegal wouldnt lead to further intrusion is just niave.

So why is abortion terrible? Your words not mine.

"Terrible" is a relative term. Some things are more 'terrible' than others.

And allowing 99 fetuses to perish is better than allowing one live human being to perish because the former are not human beings.

Abortion is a terrible to do or have to do

"Terrible" is a relative term. Some things are more 'terrible' than others.

Terrible is a relative term meaning: "Extremely and shockingly or distressingly bad or serious"

So why is killing non human beings "Extremely bad"? :hmm:

EDIT: And of course your whole line of argument rests on the idea incredibly fallacious idea that we cannot tell the difference between a medically necessary abortion and a non-necessary one.

Guns will always be dangerous, more guns = more danger. The less the better.

Now, myself, between sex, guns and marijuana, if I had to do without one entirely... it would be guns.

I'm guessing you need an overhaul. :\

why is killing dogs and cats 'extremely bad'?

No it doesn't, it rests on the idea of a woman's right to do with her body as she pleases, and the fact that there are some overzealous prosecutors who will undoubtedly throw women in jail for having medically necessary abortions and treat miscarriages as probable homicides.
You may be able to tell the difference between a medically necessary and necessary abortions, but I seriously doubt that everyone can.

I see it your way.

In the words of William Blake: "Sooner murder an infant in its cradle than nurse unacted desires."

Can you all get to that?????????? 😱

why is killing dogs and cats 'extremely bad'?

Isn't killing cats and dogs generally illegal?

Ever hear of animal cruelty? :hmm: Seems like your comparison didn't exactly goes as you planned.

So basically when you said things like:

Abortion is a terrible to do or have to do, but you realize applying restrictions on a female's reproductive rights would eventually lead to situations where the Mother may not be able to get a needed abortion to save her life. .

You were just hiding what you really believed which was bolded above.

Parents should be legally allowed to abort any child up until their 54th trimester. This would really solve a lot of our crime problems.

Why, its true?

If the parents know that a baby will be an extraordinary burden on them and society then why not prevent that?

It upsets him since he's a huge fan of the Special Olympics. He doesn't want you eliminating a huge pool of athletes.

At least that's one possible explanation.
