Inspired by this thread. I also have the "turn it off and go back to sleep" problem, but the larger issue for me is that my alarm clock isn't guaranteed to wake me up at all. My poor roommate sat through 15 minutes of alarm clock noises this morning.

buy one with 2 alarms. set one alarm as the buzzer, and the other blaring your least favorite genre of music. put it across the room.

*shrug* His problem is different from mine. From what I gathered, his alarm clock wakes him up, but he usually just turns it off and falls back asleep. My problem is that I'm not guaranteed to wake up. I want a ridiculously loud alarm clock, not a persistent one.

find a model with a headphone jack, and hookup some pc speakers, one on each side of the bed.

Well, I was in bed by 1:30 AM with my alarm set for 10 AM. I don't know, but it seems like 8.5 hours should be enough.

I have a radio alarm clock first it plays a track from my CD, then it plays the radio for about 3 min then the alarm goes off for like 5 min
so my alarm lasts for 12 min....
i wake up usually by the radio, but just in case! ^^

I've got the most annoying alarm clock. It first has a clock radio, that will go off, thats the first alarm, but it also has a pulsating alarm, thats about 3 times a second. Its a dual alarm clock, and if you set them about 5 minuets apart, you will have the clock radio go off first, and if that doesn't wake you up it will then interlace the other alarm, creating the most annoying sound ever. Also you might want to set your alarm across the room so that you HAVE to get up to go turn it off. Also if your computer is in your bedroom and it happens to be really loud, it could be droneing out your alarm.

Yeah for real............

I hit the snooze today,I sometimes do this,about 2 times a month.

I got to work ontime.

WTF you going to do if the smoke alarm goes off?
I hope you do Not die.

Darwin award if you go camping, and a bear eats you.:D

I wake up if someone opens the outer storm door on my house, unless the A/C is on.

I had to cancel the newspaper delivery, because the paperboy woke me every day,
when he walked onto my front porch at 4:30-5:00am. ugh.

Try and think of a sound more obnoxious than "the most annoying sound in the world" (ala Dumb and Dumber) and you'll know what my very first alarm clock sounded like.

Now I wake up to the radio... much more plesant.

I need an alarm clock that fits both threads.

One that is very ver loud and persistent. If the snooze on my alarm clock wasn't 9 minutes I'd be up a lot sooner.

1. Get a puppy.
2. Train him to howl when the alarm clock goes off.
3 ...
4. Profit! :D

if the thought of you being suddenly becoming unemployed doesnt motivate you to get you lazy ass out of bed in the morning...

what makes you think another alarm clock will...

Again, the OP really meant to say:
I am a Lazy POS who does not posses the dicipline to get my lazy arse out of bed and be a productive member of society.
