I need a quiet heatsink.

Hey, I have an AMD Athlon XP 2000+ and a Volcano 7+ heatsink. The Volcano 7+ is on it's lowest 'noise' level, but is still pretty loud. Is there another heatsink that anyone can recommend that will keep my athlon xp 2000+ cpu cool, but quiet?

Search for SVC, GC-68, and slk 800 here and read several thoughts on where to get them, how well they work, etc.

Also, the SLK-800's little brother, the SK-7, is worth a look. It costs about $10 less and cools almost as well. Like the SLK-800 and GC-68, it takes an 80mm fan, meaning lower RPMs for a given airflow. Unlike the GC-68, it also has a copper base, desirable for Thoroughbred-core AthlonXP's due to the small contact patch. Mine should be arriving tomorrow, yay and I'll be trying my first YS Tech adjustable-speed 80mm fan with it, plus a couple others, to see what's what.
