I need a quick response, Does Cisco certify Cat 6 / Cat 7 Cable. I called cisco

and I got hung up thrice, it seems they dont want to deal with it.
We are running a Cisco 4006 backplane switch and the questoin is about the 48port 100base ports for connections.
Any ideas?

Also is cat 5 better than cat 6. I know we talked about this the other day, but since cat 6 and cat 7 are out, are they worth the extra money (and will gig over copper) work with cat 5e.

i believe the difference between each of those categories is how fast the information is rated to go through the wire. that's about it.

Cat 7 is the best. Yes it is twiseted tigher and purer higher grade copper.
