*11 players a team
*Offense has quarterback (controls the ball, either hands off to another player or throws), running back (runs with the ball), wide receiver (catches ball), tight end, half back, and fullback (are all basically the same, in that they sometimes run or block), and you have linemen, which goes Center, Left/Right Tackle, and one more which I don't remember
*Defense has linebackers, defensive backs (on the line of scrimmage, go face to face with the center/tackles), safeties (guard against long plays), cornerbacks (guard against WR's)
*The offense has 4 plays to go 10 yds to make a first down either by passing/throwing. After you pass 10 yds you get 10 more until you score a touch down. When they make it to 4th, they'll either punt, which means they kick it to the other team so they can get the ball, or kick a field goal (see below). They can also go for it if it's late in the game and if its necessary. If they go for it on 4th down, and fail, the other team gets possession at that spot.
*Touchdown = 6 pts
Field goal = 3 points, when you kick it through the uprights
Extra point = 1 when you choose to do a field goal from the 3 yd line after a touch down, 2 pts when you score a "touchdown" from the 3
