I need a program that cuts out voices from any song

I'm basically trying to do a karaoke thing here, and I was wondering if there's a program that cuts out the voices from an mp3/wav so that it's just the instrumental left. Either freeware, shareware, or something I have to buy, doesn't matter. help.

and if you're LUCKY, I might sing some songs for you guys, who knows.

I don't think it'd be possible to completely get rid of the voices if the voice and music aren't on different channels.
I know Winamp has a plugin that'll do that on the fly, it kind of muffles the voices, some songs are more successful than others.
I'd be interested to know as well though if there is a wav editting program that'll strip the voices completely out, could be useful.
