Hi I need to make a print out of my m3u file. I have a 1400 song playlist on a small computer I put in my car. Now it would be nice to be able to print out a numbered playlist so that I can look at the list to see what number a song is so that I can just punch it up.

I do not have my LCD display set up for it but even if I did it would still be handy to have a list of the songs that I have.

I need something that will let me print the playlist out on my printer and have them numbered.

Well for now I will just open the file with Word then have it auto number each line and I can make a print out from there. Is there any other way?

Open your playlist, click "Misc" then "Misc Options" and "Generate HTML Playlist" (or hit ctrl+alt+G). The generated file is NOT numbered, but it does list all your MP3s in order. From there it's a fairly simple task to number them (try copy/pasting the song listing into a .txt file, then importing the whole list into a column in an Excel spreadsheet and going from there).

Now the question is if we really want a driver out there flipping through several pages worth of mp3 listings to find the song he wants to listen to ;p

Thanks Ladi I will give that a try. I never messed around with a playlist much before so this is all new for me.

So you are saying that I should not be flipping through several pages of songs while punching it up on the keypad and talking on my cell phone in rush hour traffic? ;)

One question for ya. When you say open the playlist and generate a HTML file, what program do you use to open it? Mine just opens with Windows media player.

Ok I found that option in Winamp and it does make a nice html file. So I am all set, thanks again for the help.
