I need a Power Supply Solution...

Do you know of a way to mod a regular CPU powersupply so it will deliver current even if there is no motherboard attached?

I am trying to setup a sever-rack case to do nothing but measure temperature and control a few fans, through a 5 inch bay multi-probe panel.

Thanks alot. I need something fast so the server system is complete at work...

I can remember reading about a load resistor being available for testing power supplies.

Something along those lines should help you out.

Sorry I can't give you a complete soultion, but at least you have an avenue for exploration.

check the 20 pin ATX connector
use a paper clip to connect the green wire on the 20-pin plug with any black wire connector on the 20-pin plug and voila, the psu will turn on

yup thats about it.. 🙂 but i would use something better then a paper clip
and when you fined the right wires you can make yourself a switch to turn it on when you want to 😀
