Currently looking at the Sony 7 and 9 inch modles.

The 7 inch has a five hour battery and the 9 has a 6 hour battery.

The main draw back to the 9 inch is it is bigger (takes more room in the laptop case)

I have seen the 7 inch in use and the screen is "good" the 9 inch is supposed to have a better screen. I was wondering if there is anything else out there with the battery life. I will be using this on flights to mostly watch episodes of TV shows.

Panasonic has a few models that are rated at 12 hours battery life, dunno how accurate it is, but even if it's half that's still 6 hours. When I check out the players at BB I'm always amazed at the difference in screen quality. Not to totally thread jack here, but what brand is known for having the best looking screens?

So, you have a laptop and a portable DVD player?

I picked one similar to this one up at costco (LS-850) for $140 I think.

I found this on amazon about it though

Also, Costco sells this same one in a package, the Panasonic LS-850 (which I couldn't find anything on), but it only has a 6 hour battery life. The LS 80 is also the same player, just a shorter battery life. I know this because the manual for this player includes all three models, but lists their battery times differently. In all the Costco version comes with more and is cheaper, but you lose out on the battery life.

I only use it in the car so it's not an issue w/ for me.
