Got an audition on Friday for the Rocky Horror Show and I'm trying to pick out a "pop rock" song to sing in addition to one I've sung for them before...

Queen, Bohemian Rhapsody.
It's all rock, but I'll be damned if there's not a soul in the US who wouldn't recognize it.
And it'll really show your range.
Had pondered doing something meatloaf-y. Still might, I suppose.

Awesome. What part are you trying for? If I was in your place, I'd be looking for a broadway tune from a similar genre. Something from Little Shop Of Horrors, perhaps? Not many solos there, but The Dentist's song might be a good choice if you were shooting for Eddie.
If you want to be Frank Furter, maybe "Today For You" from Rent. Sure, it's more techno than rock, but it IS sung by a transvestite

This is my first callback at the theatre so it's just for Ensemble in the show. I've done the Dentist before in Little Shop. Great fun.
Would love to do Frankenfurter, but I imagine they'll look for someone with a bit stronger "pipes" than me (the theatre seats 2100 people, it's on the large side
