I have the 360 controller, it's pretty great and GFW games will have to support it out of the box so that's pretty nice.

I use a Playstation to USB adapter and Playstation 2 controllers, I like it and it works great!

I miss liksang, but check out playasia.com to find the adapter of your choice.

I do this as well. I have an ems 2 and a trio link plus for ps1, ps2, and gamecube controllers. I have them anyways for hooking up my DDR pad, but I also use them for epsxe.

Just pick up the Wired XBox 360 controller, it'll work on your PC.

You don't need a special Windows version of it if you get the wired one, any wired XBox 360 controller will work.

I just use my PS3 controller since I have it lieing around. But if you have to buy one just a get 360 controller as the controls will be set up for most games.

It's sad that pc controllers are so awful but console controllers are as expected great!

I have the Xbox, wireless, and wired, controller for windows, it sucks because it doesnt support all force feedback functions, or work right with some of my games.

I have the Logitech Chillstream, like the 360, works great but in place of a forcefeedback motor its got a fan to keep my hands cool. Like it over the xbox controller for when it doenst want to shake in my games atleast my hands stay cool

I have a few Saietech (sp) controller, they suck

And then I still have 4 Logitch wingman Rumble Pads. has 2 less the buttons, but IMO, are the very best controller money can buy for around $10. Feedback is spot on, along with the sticks for there isnt that slight axis problem like the chill stream and xbox controllers have, that they still register a move, ever so slightly, before you feel the sticks really start to move. that is HIGHLY annoying especially in games like NFS MW where you cannot adjust the dead zone and your car goes from side to side and never goes straight.

SO my recommendation to you is ebay the Logitech Wingman Runmble pad, not matter what you buy after it, you will always go back to it fo rall my other controllers collect dust really.

OR I forgot:

Use your PS2 controller with this adapter that can be had very cheap.
I did the video for them, it supports force feedback, spot on I may ad, has auto fire, button remaping, the works. EVERYONE has a ps2 controller somewhere.

Video of the unit. He has it linked in his ebay listings but I just emailed him as to why this was not inserted on his site.

But even though I have the adapter, I still use my wingman :p

Use XBCD 360 drivers (instead of MS drivers) for more control over the 360 controller. Deadzone adjustments, rumble, complete control over buttons and axes (if for example you want or don't want analog triggers), and support for profiles. Even after all of this time, I still don't think MS has any sort of comparable drivers and utility tool to do this. Sure it's no problem if you are playing a GFW or other game with native support, but for other games, it can be necessary.

I'm pretty sure the PS3 controller has a mini usb connector.
